Wilson is growing and looking to hire a Web Developer.

This position is responsible the design and programming of responsive, accessible, and secure web applications for Wilson web applications and digital versions of Wilson programs.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Full stack web development in both classic web application frameworks, front-end frameworks.
  • Be a key player on a small, nimble team. Participate in agile activities and task management.
  • Learn continuously and stay up-to-date.
  • Support, maintain and troubleshoot web applications
  • Execute clean, reliable, robust and timely solutions
  • Communicate clearly with the dev team and occasionally non-technical parties
  • Demonstrate a high level of creativity, quality, and positive attitude.
  • Contribute to mockups, wireframes, and prototypes
  • Contribute to testing and
  • Understand and display WLT’s values
  • Participate in peer code review
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements:

  • Experience with .NET, .NET Core and TypeScript
  • Experience developing and working with HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript
  • Experience in education industry is a plus
  • Proficient with modern JavaScript frameworks such as Angular and Vue.JS as well as technologies like JS transpilers, package managers, bundlers, etc.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and debug web applications
  • Experience with web accessibility standards is preferred
  • Understands restful APIs
  • Familiar with various design and architectural patterns, SOLID principals
  • Fluent with modern DevOps patterns
  • SQL experience
  • Understands web security best practices, such as OWASP top 10

Skills:

  • Proficiency in .NET, HTML, JavaScript, Node, CSS, Restful APIs.
  • Proficient with web security best practices, managing identity, and proper validation.
  • Creativity along with excellent analytic skills
  • Experience and passion for agile technical approaches such as continuous delivery and automated testing
  • Good team player with strong communication skills able to articulate abstract/technical concepts
  • Providing constructive review and feedback as well as receiving feedback.
  • Pragmatic decision maker
  • Adaptability and ability to shift and change requirements as needed
  • Passionate about technology and adept at learning and keeping up with new trends and technologies
  • Experience with agile methodologies
  • Proficiency with GIT source control
  • A solid understanding of multi-tier architectures for public facing web applications

Education or Certification:

  • A BS or MS in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent work experience

Experience

  • 5+ years of software development experience

Wilson has identified the anticipated pay range for this role based on the many factors that we consider in defining compensation levels for our roles, including market data, and internal equity considerations. Actual pay, and allocation between base and any target discretionary bonus, will vary based on geographic location, education, work experience, skills, market data, and internal equity considerations. Anticipated Salary range: $98,000 - $126,000.
