The Inside Sales Manager will monitor sales metrics and manage the entire sales administration process. The responsibilities of this position will include providing ongoing professional development opportunities for the inside sales staff, motivating the sales staff to achieve sales targets, and developing an effective step by-step process of nurturing leads and closing sales.

This position will collaborate with peers and clients, so it is essential for the candidate to possess excellent communication skills and feel comfortable working in a team environment. In addition, the ideal candidate must have strong leadership skills to ensure that they are able to lead and motivate the sales team to achieve specific goals. Ultimately, an exceptional Inside Sales Manager should be able to communicate effectively with inside sales employees and customers as well as demonstrate excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Recruit, train, and manage members of the inside sales team.
  • Educate the inside sales staff on effectively answering common customer questions.
  • Set and track sales targets for your team.
  • Collaborating with the Marketing and Customer Experience department to ensure that the inside sales staff receive quality leads to pursue.
  • Maintain an accurate record of all leads and actual sales.
  • Prepare accurate sales forecasts to assist the company in making sound business decisions.
  • Report on sales metrics and suggest improvements.
  • regularly evaluate the performance of the inside sales team.
  • Evaluate current sales practices and procedures to determine whether they are effective in generating sales.
  • Recommending and implementing improvements to current sales practices and procedures as needed.
  • Address and resolve customer complaints and issues.
  • Suggest and implement improvements in the sales administration process.
  • Coordinate department projects to meet deadlines.
  • Use customer feedback to generate ideas about new features or products.
  • Research and discover methods to increase customer engagement.
  • Ensure sales, finance and legal policies and procedures are met.
  • Build an open-communication environment for your team.
  • Liaise with Marketing and Product Development departments to ensure brand consistency and increase sales.
  • Understand and display WLT’s values.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements


  • Proven experience working as an Inside Sales Manager.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software.
  • In-depth understanding of the sales administration process
  • Excellent interpersonal and team management skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Sound organizational skills.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.

Education or Certification:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, business management, or related field.
  • Accredited inside sales manager (AISM) and certified inside sales professional (CISP) accreditations are preferred.
