Vertex is an investment out of Alpine’s 9th fund, which will have ~$4.5 billion of committed capital. This is an opportunity to be on the ground floor of a company with the explicit mandate to grow to be a multi-billion-dollar company within the next five years, with the goal to grow the right way – through a relentless focus on employee and customer experience.

Mission of the role:

The Learning Content & Systems Manager will support Vertex's ability to scale best practices by empowering our employees to consistently perform at their highest potential. You will drive organizational alignment and performance by developing and organizing effective and accessible learning solutions and leveraging technology solutions to build workflow automations. Your role includes aggregating and documenting cross-functional processes and policies, building trainings across various mediums (LMS / video, WalkMe, SOPs, interactive assessments, detailed workflow mapping), and supporting the development of Vertex’s Center of Excellence.

Where you’ll make an impact:

  • Enhance Vertex’s capability to scale best practices efficiently via technology: Lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive suite of training solutions, including a Learning Management System (LMS) and WalkMe (embedded workflow training and automation), and creation of highly searchable content library.
  • Measure and continuously improve training content and resource effectiveness: Evaluate the effectiveness and gaps in training by utilizing adoption scorecards and establishing key performance indicators (KPIs) to quantify, prioritize and continuously improve training solutions based on data insights and feedback to ensure their continued relevance and effectiveness in a dynamic environment.
  • Facilitate cross-functional alignment: Collaborate with subject matter experts across Vertex to compile and document cross-functional processes and policies pertinent to partners within the Vertex portfolio in an organized and accessible format. Develop a searchable knowledge base and self-guided training library to support standardized onboarding, training, and systems implementation for partners across Vertex.
  • Enable rapid & successful integration of new Vertex companies: Enable Vertex to fully-integrate newly-acquired partners by mapping and building self-guided training content that accelerates change management and adoption of new software, processes and organizational norms.
  • Address ad hoc business challenges: Create ad hoc materials and identify actionable insights across departments to respond effectively to emerging business needs.

Key Outcomes:

1.Implement and Administer new LMS for Vertex Service partners

  • After Q1 2025 selection, collaborate with operations and technology leaders to define the system architecture, permission structure, and rollout of the new LMS for all Vertex departments
  • Manage content migration from existing SharePoint sites and other resources to ensure accuracy, capability, and minimal disruption
  • Conduct system testing to identify and resolve issues, ensuring smooth functionality and user experience
  • Collaborate with IT and Human Resources to ensure integration of LMS with existing and future platforms including SharePoint, ADP, and WalkMe
  • Partner with the data team to configure reporting tools to track learning metrics, program effectiveness, system usage, etc., to provide actionable insights to stakeholders

2.Create training across LMS, SharePoint, and WalkMe for integration with ServiceTitan, Sage, etc.

  • Develop a searchable training library, role-based tracks, and interactive assessments for core systems like ServiceTitan (CRM) and Sage (Financial ERP)
  • Create workflow diagrams and SOPs; develop self-guided training and automation in WalkMe
  • Collaborate with operations leaders to establish Center of Excellence resources, standards, and training schedules

3. Aggregate and document relevant cross-functional processes and policies to support education, training, and alignment at scale across Vertex

  • Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) Operations, Sales, HR, and Marketing to create standardized resources for Vertex’s portfolio
  • Develop innovative learning experiences using written content, videos, quizzes, etc.
  • Collaborate with the implementation team to create training resources for ServiceTitan and Sage to support implementation within 100 days of deal close
  • Partner with Vertex Sales University team to provide top-tier sales training
  • Test new techniques and materials to maximize engagement and compliance

4. Design reporting and KPIs to measure training utilization and effectiveness, deploying new strategies to bridge gaps in workflow adherence and adoption

Ideal Candidate Experience:

  • You have proven experience in creating, curating, and managing learning content for diverse audiences in organizations with 500+ employees, with an emphasis on building detailed workflows and SOPs that are translated into digestible, engaging end-user consumption
  • You have built programs from scratch and are confident in your ability to wholly own development of knowledge bases and training content libraries
  • You are analytical and data-driven, defining and leveraging insightful KPIs to measure training effectiveness and user adherence
  • You have had exposure to, or deep experience with using AI / autopilot tools to efficiently build training content and to enhance searchability for end-users
  • You have experience building detailed workflows in WalkMe or a similar embedded training solution and have experience identifying and driving workflow automation opportunities
  • You have familiarity with LMS administration, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
  • You are comfortable with integrating LMS with other organizational tools (e.g., HRIS).
  • You have an aptitude for diagnosing system / user issues and developing solutions to enhance functionality and user experience.
  • You are capable of and eager to drive accountability without direct authority
