Straight Line Construction is seeking an Operations Manager to join our team who are devoted to Improving Lives by Creating Raving Fans. STRAIGHT LINE ROOFING AND CONSTRUCTION (SLC) was founded in 1999 by our President, John E. Borba (Jack). We are the Premier Residential Remodel Contractor in El Dorado County and a Rising Superstar in Sacramento County. Besides Roofing & Roof repair with Skylights, Solar and Gutters, Straight Line Roofing and Construction offers Siding with Windows & Doors making Straight Line the go-to Contractor for quality completion of our customer’s exterior remodel projects. The successful candidate will be able to exercise strong judgment, provide an excellent experience for our customers, continuously improve and develop operational processes as well as roll up their sleeves to actively manage production operations. This position requires strong interpersonal skills and performance management experience, understanding and proven ability to assist the sales team when necessary.

Overview:

As our Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our construction projects, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. You will be responsible for managing and coordinating the activities of our construction teams, ensuring that all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Directly oversees management of the operations and logistics
  • Plans, prioritizes, assigns, reviews the work of the field crews according to Straight Line procedures
  • Supervise job scheduling, coordinate requirements for the job, complete job files, supervise production and monitor jobs from start to finish ensuring that work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
  • Monitor and follow-up on all assigned jobs ensuring that customer needs are met.
  • Develop and implement operational policies and standard operating procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Manage project budgets and timelines, ensuring that projects are completed within budget and on schedule.
  • Ensure that all safety protocols and procedures are followed on construction sites.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure that project requirements are met.
  • Collaborate with other departments, including finance and sales, to ensure that projects are delivered successfully.
  • Provide regular progress reports to management.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction project management, with experience in managing construction teams and overseeing multiple projects.
  • Previous managerial/supervisory experience required.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and manage teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Must possess the ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects utilizing organizational
  • Strong sense of responsibility regarding timely and accurate completion of work, and a strong commitment to corporate goals.
  • Must be capable of functioning in fast paced demanding working environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Knowledge of construction industry standards, regulations, and procedures.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and construction project management software.
  • Must pass the Drug Screening
  • Must have a clean Motor Vehicle Report screening
