Vertex Service Partners is a company focused on investing in and growing residential home improvement services companies in the United States, with a focus on residential roofing & other exterior services. Vertex is backed by Alpine Investors, a top-decile private equity fund with a long history of successful investments in similar industries. Vertex is an investment out of Alpine’s 9th fund, which has $4.5+ billion of committed capital. This is an opportunity to be on the ground floor of building out a FP&A function of a company with the explicit mandate to grow to be a multi-billion dollar company within the next five years, with the goal to grow the right way – through a relentless focus on employee and customer experience.

Where you’ll make an impact:

1. Collaborating with senior management + segment-level business leaders in analyzing the performance of their businesses, identifying and understanding trends, and assisting with monthly and quarterly MD&A
2. Help with creating and running an effective annual budgeting process
3. Monthly budgeting and cash flow forecasting across all operating companies
4. Financial reporting to board + credit partners
5. Developing ad hoc analyses for management team + Board of Directors
6. Constant improvement of financial systems and processes
7. Creating a community amongst FP&A professionals to ensure sharing of best practices across divisions, overseeing team of regional managers

What you bring:

1. 8+ years of experience of finance + accounting experience
2. Investment banking and/or private equity experience a plus
3. Data-driven decision-maker with high degree of competence in analyzing data
4. Analytical mindset, strong communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
5. Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles
6. Entrepreneurial spirit, intellectual curiosity, growth mindset, and a desire to build the best company in the industry
