Who We are Looking For

We seek a dynamic and detail-oriented Accounting Professional to grow with us. We are looking for an experienced staff accountant/ bookkeeper to handle general accounting operations. Our environment is fast-paced and offers ample opportunity to grow and develop. This position requires an individual with a high level of initiative, self-starter, critical thinker, and resourceful.

We need a professional with proven skills in end-to-end transactional accounting.

The person hired will report to the Controller, while also interacting with the Regional finance teams in meeting organization-wide objectives. You will enjoy a broad range of responsibilities and get to know the business and operations.

Structure of the position

This job is full time Monday – Friday [8am to 5 pm] in person at our Fort Lauderdale, FL Office.

Essential Responsibilities

• Manage the monthly close process and drive material efficiencies in the closing process.
• Responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of all financial transactions in accordance with GAAP.
• Responsible for general ledger maintenance, monthly close, reconciliations, prepaids and accruals, financial statements, and cash forecasts. Ensuring proper job costing, WIP jobs, revenue recognition, and job cost analysis.
• Manage all aspects of project lifecycle cost accounting and ensure costs are in the correct period for accurate financial reporting and forecasting.
• Communicate regularly with ownership and senior management team in regularly scheduled meeting settings about financial performance, business opportunities and challenges
• Assist with consolidated annual audit as needed.
• Maintain business systems, processes, and controls, including budgets and key performance indicators, understanding the key financial drivers of the business to manage to those numbers with intensity
• Achieve a high level of proficiency with Sage Intacct, including mastering the creation of detailed reports and optimizing the system's capabilities to its fullest potential, and drive integrations with non-accounting systems (i.e., ServiceTitan CRM)
• Post and process journal entries, record, and document financial transactions, and identify and resolve any financial data discrepancies.
• Ensure regulatory compliance with permits, bonds, sales and use tax, etc.
• Assist with cross-functional areas of the business as needed.

Education & Skills:

• AA or BS Degree in Finance, Accounting, or business (Required)
• CPA Certification or working towards your certification is a plus.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in an accounting setting. Experience in a PE-backed company a plus.
• Knowledge of and proficiency in using Accounting and CRM Systems. We are currently using Sage Intacct.
• Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
• Must be capable of thorough understanding of laws and regulations required for doing business in Florida.
• Experience in an industry that experiences seasonal demand and expense timing within a fiscal year is a plus.
• Must be a self-starter, able to work independently and be a Team Player to meet deadlines in a high volume, fast-paced environment.

Compensation:

Kairos Roofing, LLC intends to offer the selected candidate a competitive base salary plus the potential of annual bonus. The actual offer will be based on a variety of factors, including experience.
