Financial Controller

Launched in December 2021, Leo Facilities Maintenance (“Leo FM”) offers one-stop-shop solutions for both interior and exterior facilities maintenance. With both vendor-managed and self-perform capabilities, Leo FM ensures quick, quality service with the convenience of a single POC.

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Financial Controller to join our dynamic team. The Financial Controller will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of multiple Operating Companies (“OpCos”) and directly manage the consolidated accounting and reporting compliance. This role requires strong leadership skills, financial acumen, and the ability to contribute to strategic decision-making processes.

The Financial Controller is responsible for:

  1. Financial Reporting
    1. Prepare monthly consolidated financial reports in compliance with GAAP.
    2. Ensure all OpCo and Vertical financials conform with accounting standards, regulations, and company policies.
    3. Collaborate with OpCo finance teams and external auditors to facilitate a timely annual audit report.
    4. Lead the implementation of new accounting standards and reporting requirements.
    5. Assist in the implementation of new accounting software.
    6. Stay updated on changes in accounting principles and regulations.
  2. Financial Analysis
    1. Conduct in-depth financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
    2. Present financial reports and analyses to senior management, highlighting key insights.
    3. Prepare annual budgets and present in-depth variance analysis.
  3. Cash Management
    1. Monitor cash flow, analyze financial risks, and develop short to medium term cash flow forecasts.
    2. Manage banking relationships and working capital requirements.
  4. Business Partnership
    1. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support various business initiatives.
    2. Provide financial insights and recommendations to aid in decision-making processes.
    3. Manage onboarding requirements of newly partnered OpCos.
    4. Work closely with OpCo finance teams to refine processes, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
    5. Provide mentorship and guidance to team members, promoting professional development.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred
  • At least 5 years of experience in financial management
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities
  • Proven track record of driving financial growth and success
  • Proficiency in Excel
  • Working knowledge of various financial software and systems
