How you’ll be impactful:

In the role of R&D Team Leader for PHP, you will play a pivotal role in leading our development team towards excellence. You'll be the driving force behind our PHP projects, steering them towards success through effective leadership, technical expertise, and a passion for innovation.

Please note: We are looking to hire in Uzhhorod, Kosice, or Budapest as we have offices in those locations.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Take full ownership of the systems you work on, ensuring their health, resilience, and performance. Monitor system metrics, troubleshoot issues, and implement proactive measures to maintain system stability
  • Guide and mentor the team members, ensuring adherence to best practices, coding standards, and architectural principles in PHP development
  • Drive continuous improvement in our codebase by implementing efficient coding techniques, refactoring legacy code, and optimizing performance
  • Spearhead the development of new features and functionalities, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions
  • Foster a collaborative and supportive team environment, encouraging knowledge sharing, constructive feedback, and innovative thinking among team members
  • Proactively identify and address technical challenges, utilizing your expertise in PHP development to overcome obstacles and deliver high-quality solutions on time
  • Provide insights and recommendations on technology stack, tooling, and process improvements to enhance team productivity and effectiveness
  • Invest in the professional growth and development of team members, conducting performance evaluations, setting clear goals, and providing constructive feedback to foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement
  • Fluent English level is required

What you'll need to be successful:

  • +5 Years Proven work experience as a PHP developer
  • +5 Years of managing software development teams
  • Experience with Phalcon framework
  • Demonstrable knowledge of front-end technologies such as JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and optional React.js
  • Experience in scaling up systems and monitoring performance
  • Experience in Integration with popular 3rd party APIs and services
  • A firm grasp of object oriented analysis and design
  • Passion for writing great, simple, clean, efficient code
  • Good knowledge of relational databases and SQL
  • BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or in related field
  • Experience with AWS or GCP
  • Experience with sockets
