See open jobs at FEV Tutor.See open jobs similar to "Professional Development Leader" Alpine Investors.FEV Tutor is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Professional Development (PD) Leader to lead our organization's efforts in fostering quality and relevant training programs and a high performing team to drive adoption, utilization, efficacy, and expansion of our K12 online tutoring platform. The ideal candidate will have experience in PD for educators, deep knowledge of pedagogical practices for adult learning, have successfully led PD teams, a track record of designing and implementing PD programs in the educational landscape. Data driven, and team oriented, you will be highly collaborative, growth minded, with the ability to plan and stay organized while managing multiple projects and a dynamic team. Additionally, you will have strong communication skills, both written and orally, and enjoy presenting to and engaging with key district partners and internal leaders.
About the role:
As part of our Customer Experience (CX) team, the PD Leader will develop programs, including calendars and content, that support teams and teachers in implementing high impact tutoring strategies in their classrooms. Leading a team of PD Specialists, the PD leader will engage and guide their team through the development of launch criteria and best practices to ensure they are well equipped to drive high utilization and NPS scores in the districts FEV supports. Committed to intentional and iterative improvement, this role will integrate industry trends into results oriented PD outcomes, evidenced by data driven mechanisms that demonstrate efficacy.
What You’ll do:
Ownership of Professional Development Calendar of Offerings
- Determine frequency of and topics for full catalog of PD offerings.
- Write content for PDs that aligns with pedagogical best practices for adult learning, is engaging, and uses technology/virtual setting.
- Develop assessment tools to measure the effectiveness of professional development sessions.
- Gather and analyze feedback to continually improve the quality and relevance of the training programs.
- Create supplementary materials, resources, and toolkits to support teachers in implementing high impact tutoring strategies in their classrooms.
- Stay abreast of current trends, research, and innovations in education and high impact tutoring to ensure the content remains cutting-edge
Manage and retain team of Professional Development Specialists
- Manage team that conducts engaging and informative professional development sessions for teachers, utilizing effective instructional strategies and adult learning methodologies.
- Develop all onboarding courseware and assets for team
- Assess current skills gaps across the team and build plans for development for individuals, small groups or the group as a whole
Ownership of on-site launch presence
- Build out our best practices for on-site presence at high-priority launch, and create playbook
- Determine which contracts qualify for on-site presence at launch.
- Assess team’s effectiveness at launches, with goals for onsite presence being high NPS and increased initial utilization
