*ATTENTION SCIENCE TEACHERS/SME* Are you looking for flexible opportunities that provide exposure in edtech? Well look no further, FEV Tutor is the market leader in High-Impact Tutoring for learning acceleration. We deliver live online 1:1 and small group tutoring sessions using our standards-aligned and research-based curriculum. We are looking for educators to write middle school and high school level science lessons including 5th-8th grade science, Biology, Chemistry, Earth Systems, Physical + Environmental Science courses. This is a remote contract position.

What you’ll do:

  • Evaluate course, grade, and state standards to identify learning objectives, map out lesson sequence, and design diagnostic test
  • Review existing lessons and align them to other state standards
  • Write student-facing lessons with teacher/tutor guides delivered synchronously on our custom whiteboard platform
  • Follow project plan and timeline for submitting, revising, and authoring assigned lessons
  • Communicate with content specialists and other curriculum writers throughout the development process
  • Ensure lessons meet specified state standards

What you’ll need:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in education or directly related field
  • Experience: 2+ years of relevant experience with K-12 science curriculum alignment and development with a focus on 5th-8th grade science, Biology, Chemistry, Earth Systems, or Physical + Environmental Science courses.

Additional skills and abilities:

  • Experience with NGSS, Texas, Virginia, Georgia, or Maryland state standards (preferred)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient with Google Drive, Docs, Sheets
  • Ability to work in a flexible, face-paced environment

Position Type: Remote, work-from-anywhere contract position

Reporting Manager: Manager, Curriculum and Instruction

Duration: Approximately 2-3 months
