About the role: The Demand Generation Marketing Specialist is responsible for developing and executing demand generation tactics, with a heavy focus on email campaigns to drive engagement, customer acquisition, and retention. Using strong communication skills, this role works to create engaging and creative content and campaigns that are relatable to education leaders. Working collaboratively within the marketing team, with leadership, and across functions, the Marketing Specialist utilizes internal tools to execute campaigns, measure performance, and analyze outcomes. Dedicated to growth, the role continuously tests campaigns, and incorporates feedback to optimize results. Additionally, the Demand Generation Marketing Specialist prioritizes effectively, managing competing projects to deliver quality work on tight timelines.
What You’ll do:
Your duties will include, but not be limited to:
- Developing and executing email marketing campaigns that generate leads and revenue growth, including:
- Planning, creating, scheduling, and reporting on campaigns.
- Conducting A/B testing and analyzing campaign data to optimize email performance, including open rates, click-through rates, conversion rates, and overall ROI.
- Managing email lists, segmentation, and subscriber databases to ensure accuracy, relevance, and compliance with data privacy regulations.
- Creating and maintaining email templates and content that align with brand guidelines and messaging.
- Staying up-to-date on email deliverability best practices and troubleshooting any email delivery issues that arise.
- Providing regular reporting on email campaign performance and KPIs to stakeholders.
- Leading multi-channel ABM campaigns (may include email, direct mail, social media, and other components) to generate high-value leads with very large school districts, including:
- Researching and understanding the district’s specific needs.
- Collaborating with the sales team to understand current status, key stakeholders, and other relevant details.
- Partnering with the Digital Marketer to build targeted advertisements
- Developing targeted messaging and content that resonates with key decision-makers or influencers.
- Supporting and managing other marketing activities as needed (such as creating/updating collateral, sales enablement, website messaging, social media, etcetera).
- Monitoring industry trends and best practices to identify opportunities to improve campaign performance and customer engagement.
What You’ll Need:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in email marketing, preferably in a high-growth B2B or K-12 education environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Passion for FEV Tutor’s mission.
- Proficient in email marketing platforms, ideally Hubspot.
- Strong understanding of email marketing best practices, including list management, segmentation, A/B testing, and deliverability.
- Experience with email campaign reporting and analytics, including KPI tracking and optimization.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
- Data-driven decision maker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of HTML and CSS is a plus.
- Experience with account-based marketing is a plus.
