Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced financial executive to join our leadership team. The VP of Finance will own all corporate accounting operations, including financial close process, internal and external reporting, annual audit, detailed financial analyses and integration of the accounting tech stack. They will drive consistency in accounting policies and reporting. Additionally, the VP of Finance will be responsible for training and supporting Digi's accounting staff.

Preference will be given to candidates with experience leading financial operations for a construction or project based company with at least 100-200 employees.

Main Responsibilities

  • Lead transition from Cash to Accrual-based Accounting.
  • Prepare various high level financial reports, recommendations, and forecasts - such as EBITDA metrics and cash flow forecasts.
  • Maintain and improve business systems, processes, and controls, including budgets and key performance indicators, understanding the key financial drivers of the business to manage to those numbers with intensity, including identification of EBITDA addbacks.
  • Lead budget process in partnership with Digi CEO.
  • Maximize the output of individuals and team by establishing operating rhythms, setting goals, and driving growth in direct reports.
  • Translate and effectively communicate complex accounting concepts into easy-to-digest action items for management.

Requirements

  • Prior executive leadership experience
  • Platform experience with: ADP, QuickBooks Enterprise, CRM, Microsoft Suite
  • Advanced financial understanding through combined education and experience
  • Experience applying GAAP standards, including complex accounting pronouncements, including ASC 805 (business combinations)
  • Must be intensely self- managing, well organized and a self-starter
  • Detail oriented, professional, reliable attitude
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
  • Preferred: experience with construction/project based company
  • Preferred: experience with financial leadership of company with 200+ employees
