We are seeking a driven and dynamic Sales Manager to create and execute a growth plan that aligns with our company objectives in the video surveillance, access control, and system integration markets. This role will lead a dedicated sales team, including sales representatives, lead generation specialists, and sales assistants.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a strategic sales program to achieve 15% year-over-year (YoY) revenue growth in new sales.
- Ensure that new sales efforts contribute to 40%+ of total company revenue growth, up from the current 25-30%.
- Identify and address inefficiencies in the existing lead generation strategy.
Lead Generation:
- Develop new high-ROI lead generation sources, including E-Rate funding in education, securing contracts with federal agencies via GSA, and becoming a trusted security vendor for BAFB.
- Test and measure the effectiveness of new lead generation initiatives, focusing on lead quality, conversion rates, and return on investment.
Team Leadership:
- Create a cohesive and motivated sales team by setting shared sales goals and corresponding team incentives.
- Ensure disciplined use of CRM for data capture, workflow management, and reporting.
- Develop and report on sales KPIs, create a weekly reporting rhythm, and adjust strategies based on data-driven decisions.
- Improve team output, including making calls and converting show leads to tier 1 and tier 2 leads.
- Maximize walk-through conversions to proposals and ultimately to won contracts.
Sales Intensity and Culture:
- Foster a culture of excellence and urgency within the sales team.
- Lead by example with a strong work ethic and determination to exceed sales targets.
- Motivate team members to reach their full potential and embrace continuous improvement.
Revenue Growth and Marketing:
- Implement methods to stimulate revenue growth, including rate normalization of 10% with new contracts and automating service contract sales.
- Increase incoming leads by 25% through SEO and targeted digital marketing.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of conference-to-lead strategies and prepare annual recommendations for conference investments.
Brand and Reputation:
- Ensure all interactions with customers, vendors, and employees demonstrate a high standard of quality and integrity.
- Maintain consistent and methodical presence at tradeshows and client associations.
- Stay true to the company's approach to end-user-driven solutions and follow through with commitments.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in sales management within the security systems industry or related fields.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a sales team.
- Excellent strategic planning and analytical skills.
- Proficiency with CRM systems and sales tracking tools.
