Job Description

This is an incredible opportunity to join one of the leaders in transportation and logistics. We are looking for a Director of Finance to serve as a key leader within the company as we scale.

In this role, you will oversee all financial activities within the business, including strategic finance, budgeting and forecasting, accounting, and manage the relationship with our financial sponsor, ASG. You’ll report directly to the CEO. We’re seeking a strong operator who is eager to scale a business and build a culture.

What you’ll do:

  • Manage and develop our Finance function, including our Controller and AP team, maintaining strong controls, managing vendor relationships, overseeing financials, and reporting to our parent company
  • Lead company budgeting and forecasting on an annual and quarterly basis, working closely with our parent company (ASG)
  • Ensure our books are closed on a monthly basis
  • Own our operating model and work closely with the CEO and business partners to set and ensure we hit our annual and monthly objectives
  • Oversee billing and build controls to ensure strong cash collection
  • Drive our annual audit process in partnership with ASG
  • Support internal business partners with ad-hoc strategic projects related to pricing, retention, and other key levers

You’re perfect for this role if:

  • You are a numbers and Excel whiz and are excited to manage an operating model
  • You have a strong understanding of FP&A and accounting functions
  • You are an analytical thinker who can drive financial analysis and make it actionable and digestible for business partners
  • You are a strategic thinker who is excited to learn our industry and partner with the CEO on strategic considerations and decisions
  • You have excellent judgment and creative problem solving skills including negotiation and conflict resolution skills
  • You have experience designing and owning critical business processes
  • You want to bring strong mentoring and coaching experience to a team with diverse levels of experience
  • You are entrepreneurial team player who can multitask

Other information:

  • Location: Remote-first. Travel expected at once a quarter for planning, ad hoc travel for team needs
  • On-Target Earning Range: $200-220k
