ASG has a successful track record of acquiring over 50 B2B vertical SaaS operating companies (OpCos) across diverse industries, with a goal of tripling revenue for each company within three years post-acquisition. To achieve this goal, it is crucial that our OpCos hire, develop, and retain top sales talent. We are currently looking for experienced Account Executives with relevant SaaS selling experience for our Summer 2024 cohort to work within and contribute to the growth trajectory of one or more of our OpCos. Your Role:

You will be placed into one of our 25+ OpCos as a key member of their sales team, in many cases as one of the first Account Executives at that company. As an early sales hire, you will play a crucial role in growing a company’s customer base and revenue as well as helping to define the sales strategy for the business. The role will work directly on a day-to-day basis with the Heads of Sales and Revenue Operations within that OpCo. For strong performers, there may be an opportunity to advance as a sales leader and eventually work across and drive sales at multiple OpCos as they march toward successful exits. We love to keep top talent in the ASG portfolio as long as possible!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities, demonstrating strong salesmanship and a hunter mentality
  • Conduct thorough market research to gain insights into target industries, segments, and competitive landscapes.
  • Foster and nurture relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders within prospective client organizations
  • Collaborate closely with the broader sales org and marketing team to develop and execute effective strategies for lead generation and conversion.
  • Deliver compelling and persuasive product demonstrations and presentations, showcasing the company value proposition and key product features with enthusiasm and conviction.
  • Drive negotiations on contracts, pricing, and terms with clients, employing persuasive tactics and a results-driven mindset
  • Provide proactive support and guidance to clients throughout the sales process, including addressing inquiries, overcoming objections, and ensuring a seamless customer experience
  • Utilize CRM systems and sales tools adeptly to manage leads, track sales activities, and generate insightful reports to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and evolving customer needs, adapting sales strategies and tactics accordingly with a relentless focus on driving results
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including product development and customer success


  • At least 3-5 years of experience in sales, preferably within early stage SaaS businesses
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets and quota
  • Experience in SMB, Mid-Market, or lower Enterprise sales, including managing deals ranging from $5k to $75k ACV
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and sales tools such as Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar platforms.
  • Excellent negotiation and persuasion abilities, with a focus on building long-term client relationships.
  • Solid understanding of sales processes and methodologies, including prospecting, qualifying, and closing
  • Strong interpersonal skills, a commitment to excellence, and a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset
  • Adaptability and resilience to navigate challenges and overcome objections during the sales process
  • Passion for technology and innovation, with a genuine interest in helping clients solve business challenges through SaaS solutions

Additional Information:

  • Location: Flexible - many of our opportunities are fully remote
  • Compensation: Total on-target earnings can range from $100,000-300,000, inclusive of competitive benefits and long-term incentives.
