Director of Finance:

We are looking for an experienced financial executive who is passionate about leading, owning, and building a world class financial reporting, data analytics, and operations organization. The role would be responsible for (i) owning all financial reporting and FP&A, (ii) being a thought partner on long-term strategic planning and growth initiatives, (iii) leading the day-to-day financial operations (invoicing, collections, vendor management, treasury, payroll, etc.), and (iv) owning operational due diligence and integration of new add-on acquisitions.

The ideal candidate will be able to combine financial and analytical capabilities with proactive, imaginative curiosity to lead and grow our finance department and our business.

Responsibilities:

  • Drives strategic financial thinking across the business and is a thought partner to the CEO and leadership team on long-term strategic planning.
  • Completely manages the financial reporting process in accordance with U.S. GAAP, including delivering the monthly reporting packages.
  • Outlines and implements optimal process and team structure to close books.
  • Builds and owns budgets for all products and updates full-year forecasts on a monthly basis.
  • Creates meaningful reporting dashboards that track operational KPIs, and alerts CEO to trends in the business that require change or amplification.
  • Supports CEO in the creation of quarterly board materials.
  • Ensures cash is managed appropriately with the proper internal controls, and facilitates monthly cash sweeps to the parent company.
  • Completes required audit documentation in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Scales finance team carefully as needed and is recognized as a trusted leader across the entire organization.
  • Define and communicate a compelling vision and strategy for the finance department.
  • Partner with the internal team, HoldCo and BOD, to ensure appropriate and useful integration of operational data across the organization.
  • Manage relationships with outside auditors, banks, investors, analysts, and other advisors.

Experience and Attributes:

  • Expert understanding of advanced financial analysis techniques using spreadsheet software and statistical analysis.
  • Proficient ability to communicate effectively with others using written and spoken English including the ability to provide clear, constructive feedback to team members and stakeholders.
  • Expert ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with others; conducts working relationships in a manner acceptable to others and to the organization while communicating PLANOLY-wide guidelines in a transparent way.
  • Expert relationship building skills, including the capacity to predict and manage behavior, build and leverage cross-functional partnerships within and outside of the organization, and leverage influential leadership.
  • Proficient presentation skills to present information to an audience of varying responsibility within the company effectively.
  • Proficient project planning skills, including the ability to organize, prioritize and control job responsibilities to meet deadlines in an environment with overlapping and potentially conflicting priorities.
  • Expert ability to solve practical problems, provide data-based recommendations, and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Expert ability for gathering and scrutinizing data to identify issues, opportunities, patterns, and sustainable business solutions.
  • Ability to plan with long-term objectives in mind.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail including the ability to reduce a complex concept or task into something that is manageable and clearly interpreted.
  • Proficient knowledge of employee development: talent assessment, competency-based development, motivation, and reward.

  • You have at least 6 years of experience in the financial function of a company.
  • Have experience with high-growth companies and M&A.
  • Have experience directly managing and training various levels of the Finance, Accounting and Administration business units.
  • You have previous management of a team.
  • Have an MBA or CPA.

This position will report directly to the Chief Operations Officer
