Position Summary

Ascend is seeking an Associate Recruiter (“Recruiter”) to support internal sourcing and hiring across all functional areas as we continue to grow a world class team. The Recruiter will also map / source Chief Growth Officer candidates to support our expanding network of partner firms and ensure they are optimized for rapid growth. Employing storytelling, analytical rigor, and problem-solving skills, this individual will devise and implement Talent strategies to identify, engage, and close A players while providing red carpet candidate experiences. The winning candidate will embody our values and demonstrate superior intellectual curiosity, ensuring Ascend and its partner firms attract A players to accelerate revenue, profitability, and operational excellence across all areas of the business.

Key Responsibilities

Source & Evaluate High-Quality Talent

  • Drive strategies and processes to ensure we are continuously building a robust pipeline of A players supporting bespoke roles touching all facets of the Ascend business
  • Craft effective, automated, and multi-channel outreach strategies (email, LinkedIn, etc.) while leveraging a diverse array of relevant job posting platforms to drive inbound interest
  • Leverage the A Method for Hiring, demonstrating intellectually curious interview skills and thoroughly prepared candidate reports that lead to effective top of funnel selection
  • Employ strategic acumen, and utmost integrity, to achieve offer acceptance rates targeting >90%
  • Cultivate long-term relationships with high-performing talent, building a bench of potential hires for future needs

Reporting & Talent Analytics

  • Leverage Ascend’s ATS (Greenhouse) as a single source of truth for all recruiting efforts, tracking stage-by-stage throughput via clear pipeline reports
  • Track leading indicators to understand if a search is on / off track to be closed on schedule; anticipate and identify challenges and proactively solve them
  • Leverage pipeline data to make ad hoc and / or systematic strategic improvements to Ascend’s recruiting practices

DEI & Candidate Experience

  • Employ creative sourcing strategies that ensure pipelines are robust without excluding underrepresented groups (URG) or applying bias
  • Ensure jobs are posted on an array of relevant DEI- and community-focused websites
  • Identify potential partnerships with URG alliances nationally
  • Provide high touch, red carpet experiences to all candidates, providing timely updates and feedback using radical candor: clear is kind!
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the Ascend business to engage thoughtfully with prospective candidates and go beyond the job description

Relationship Management

  • Act as a true consulting partner to the leadership team, hiring managers, and your peers – proactively raise issues, be solution-oriented, and make strategic suggestions backed by data
  • Drive alignment across stakeholders to ensure hiring goals are reached on time and on budget
  • Communicate urgency when needed to guarantee Ascend wins in the talent marketplace

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree demonstrating superior academic performance from an accredited college or university
  • 1-4 years of Talent Acquisition experience as a recruiter or sourcer; experience with a retained search firm is preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify opportunities and make data-driven decisions
  • Strong desire to win and relentless intellectual curiosity
  • Strong organizational, critical thinking, and communication skills
